MBBR Process has the advantages of both traditional fluidized bed and biological contact oxidation process. It is a new and efficient sewage treatment method. The carrier is in the fluidization state by the enhancement of aeration and water flow in the aeration tank, and then the suspended activated sludge and the attached biofilm are formed. This makes the whole reactor space used by the moving bed biofilm, and the attached biofilm is fully utilized The advantages of phase and suspended phase make them complement each other. Different from the previous packing, the suspended packing can contact with sewage frequently and many times, so it is called "moving biofilm".

The key of MBBR technology is to research and develop the bio filler which has a specific gravity close to that of water and is easy to move freely with water under slight agitation. It has the characteristics of large effective specific surface area, suitable for microbial adsorption growth, strong applicability and wide application range. It can be used for both organic matter removal and nitrogen and phosphorus removal; It can be used not only in the new sewage treatment plant, but also in the process transformation and upgrading of the existing sewage treatment plant.

Process characteristics

The filling rate of biological packing in the reactor can reach 67%;

In aerobic reactor, aeration makes the biological packing flow (or suspend) in the whole reactor with the water mass in the reactor;

In the anaerobic reactor, the biological filler flows (or suspends) in the whole reactor with the water mass in the reactor;

Physical elements of process: tank body (various shapes and materials), filler, mixing facilities (aeration or diving mixing), water outlet device (various forms of screen).
